The UK Government has issued a set of guidelines for keeping online shoppers safe from fraud this Christmas.
The guidelines have been posted online at http://www.consumer.gov.uk/consumer_web/e-shopping.htm in response to a MORI survey that showed some concerns are still stopping people going online to do their shopping. These were found to be fear of credit card fraud, the need to give out personal information and the worry that the company may not be genuine.
The guidelines say that online shoppers should use the sites that they know or those that are recommended to them, get the supplier's phone number or postal address, keep copies of e-mails and order forms, check the cooling-off rights and remember that the law protects the consumer against credit card fraud.
People are so genius to hack confidential such as the information from one's account of credit card. But this knowledge are useless because it is being used to deprived and use the wealth of others... It is very evident that some prefer to get what they wnat in just a snap of a finger instead of working hard to achieve whatever they want.
But to take note, as Pilipino says: "Kung walang magpapaloko, WALANG MANLOLOKO..."
